Service Description
Detailed imaging to assess the structure and function of your heart. An echocardiogram is a non-invasive ultrasound scan that provides real-time images of the heart. It allows detailed evaluation of cardiac chambers, heart muscle function, valve performance, and blood flow patterns, helping to identify or exclude underlying cardiovascular conditions. What the Scan Assesses • Heart chamber size and wall thickness • Pumping function (left and right ventricular performance) • Heart valve structure and function • Blood flow direction and velocity • Signs of structural abnormalities or cardiomyopathy • Evidence of fluid around the heart (pericardial effusion) Suitable For • Investigation of chest discomfort, breathlessness, or palpitations • Evaluation of heart murmurs • Monitoring known valve disease or cardiomyopathy • Assessment of high blood pressure–related heart changes • Follow-up after abnormal ECG findings The procedure is painless and typically takes 20–40 minutes. Results are reviewed and explained clearly, with recommendations for further management or specialist referral if required.






Cancellation Policy
1. Appointment Booking Appointments with Red Rose Healthcare are confirmed upon receipt of booking confirmation via email, SMS, or telephone. By booking an appointment, patients agree to this Cancellation Policy. 2. Cancellation Notice Requirements We require a minimum of: • 24 hours’ notice for standard GP consultations (in-clinic or virtual) • 48 hours’ notice for extended appointments (e.g., health assessments, procedures, occupational medicals) Notice must be provided during business hours via: • Telephone: 0161 537 9215 • Email: info@redrosehealthcare.co.uk Cancellations sent outside business hours will be deemed received on the next working day. 3. Late Cancellations Appointments cancelled with less than the required notice period will incur a late cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation fee. 4. Non-Attendance (Did Not Attend – DNA) Failure to attend a booked appointment without prior notice will result in: • 100% of the consultation fee being charged This applies to in-person and remote (video/telephone) consultations. 5. Deposits Where a deposit is taken: • Deposits are refundable only if cancellation occurs within the required notice period. • Deposits will be retained for late cancellations or non-attendance. 6. Exceptional Circumstances We understand that unforeseen emergencies may arise. Requests for fee waivers due to exceptional circumstances will be considered at the discretion of the Practice Director. 7. Practice Cancellations In the rare event that Red Rose Healthcare needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, patients will be offered: • An alternative appointment at the earliest convenience, or • A full refund of any pre-paid fees 8. Policy Review This policy is reviewed periodically and may be updated in line with operational or regulatory requirements.
