Dr. Ayyaz Sultan Consultant Cardiologist
Dr Ayyaz Sultan is an experienced consultant cardiologist based in Greater Manchester and Liverpool. Dr Sultan completed his cardiology training in Sheffield in 2013, after which he did an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He has been a consultant in the UK since 2015 and in 2016 he was appointed as an honorary senior lecturer for the University of Manchester and Edgehill University.
Dr Sultan is committed to provide the patient-centred, high quality care for his patients who are at the core of the decision-making process.
Dr Sultan has special interest in Hypertension (High BP) under age 40 years and Difficult to treat hypertension, POT syndrome, Cardiac assessment for ADHD treatment, cardiac assessment for Pilots/DVLA/Divers.
Dr Sultan offer his expertise to comprehensively investigate and treat wide-ranging range of cardiac symptoms including high blood pressure, angina, shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations, dizzy spells, heart failure and heart murmurs.
Dr Sultan offers private face to face and virtual (telephonic/video) consultations. Dr Sultan provides a Postal Ambulatory ECG service (Heart monitor) for his patients with palpitations or dizzy or collapses, unexplained stroke for undiagnosed AF, anywhere in UK. It's a home delivered service. Patient will receive a monitor at home with full instructions and support along with a pre-paid envelope to return. There is no prerequisite to have a consultation with Dr Sultan. The test result will be provided to yourself. It usually takes 5-7 working days excluding weekends/bank holidays.
He provides private ECG, Private echocardiogram, Private stress ECG treadmill test, Private Tilt table tests, Private Ambulatory Blood pressure monitor services, private coronary angiogram, private coronary Balloon and stent treatment.
Dr Sultan has established CT Coronary Angiography services at his local hospital. He has published several scientific articles in peer reviewed journals. He is an investigator for several international clinical trials. Dr Sultan is passionate about training the future doctors. He is lead for year 3 and year 5 for the medical school. He is educational supervisor for training specialist trainee registrars in both Cardiology and Cardiac Intervention.
